Rachel Jenkins-Stevens, Licensed Therapist

About Me

Rachel Jenkins-Stevens, LCSW

I'm a mom of three highly spirited kids, and I spend my free time in the ocean and also bargaining with an anxious dog. Clients describe me as emotionally intuitive, direct, honest, and funny when appropriate.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Eugene Lang College in New York City, and my Master's Degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work, in New York City, and a Post Graduate Certificate from the Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, CA.

I worked with teens in the South Bronx, and kids and families in the foster care system in California, before opening my private therapy practice in 2013. Since entering private practice, I have counseled adults in transition, adults and teens with anxiety and depression, couples in rough patches, teens wrestling with identity and trauma, and who could benefit from another supportive adult in their life. I am a member of The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, and have volunteered on the leadership committee there helping run the post-graduate training program for many years. I also supervise and train early career therapists.
